Since the first of the year I have been documenting my daily workouts. It’s a great way to track my progress, not so much from day to day, but month to month. When my trainer ups reps, sets or weight I can go back to see what I use to do. I end up with a smile on my face when I realise I am doing more than I did before.
Starting tomorrow I will include that documentation in my daily blog along with my weight.
The question of getting weighed everyday is one that people seem to struggle with. I walk past a really good doctor scale in the locker room every morning. Why not take advantage of it. I will check my weight each day and see what happens.
I will also be taking a daily picture. I loaded some “fat” pictures onto the Photo page. Feel free to check them out.
Today was a special day. I recently celebrated 35 years of service with my employer and one of the perks of that was a celebration dinner for my family. We went to Outback Steakhouse and had a great time. We went on Sunday afternoon, so it was not too busy. We had great service and the opportunity to talk and share. And yes, I ate more than I should have.
I am very involved with an online group on YouTube, Gut to Cut. It is a great group of people focused on better health, usually focused on weight loss. My YouTube channel is trboh.
I workout at the Shaw Jewish Community Center in Akron Ohio. It’s a great facility, just 4 minutes from my home. The only downside for me is that they close for Jewish holidays so the Center will close early on Tuesday and not reopen until Friday morning in recognization of Shavuot. Those days I will just need to be creative and find ways to complete my workouts without the benefit of the gym.
