Gym closed today and tomorrow, opening back up on Saturday so I need to adjust my workouts again this week. Today and tomorrow will be my off days.
Anxious for the gym schedule to get back to normal.
Stress level at work continues to be 100+.
Sleep has been a little be better but I am thinking that Flomax is not the medication that I need and on my next doc visit we are going to have to try something else.

This mornings workout went much better than yesterday. I felt much stronger and only had to take a couple of quick stretches for my back. Was really in the groove for my cardio, did not want to stop.
Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 1 minute rest between sets

28 kg – 20 reps each
Kettlebell Figure 8’s
24 kg – 15 each

Very hard workout this morning. I had to take extra rest breaks. I had to fight for every rep and this pushed me to the limit. I have to think about the squats. I am really getting dizzy when I complete the last one. Perhaps I need to find something else. This is a direct side effect of the Flomax. Along with the dizzy feeling comes an upset stomach.
Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 1:20 minute rest between sets
Dumbbell Push Press – 50 lb Dumbbells – 11 reps….increase
Functional Trainer Squat to Row (Set at bottom position)
(Holding handles and standing back as if you were going to row, Squat down and hold at bottom position, Row, and return to Standing position)

Anxious to see how tomorrows workout goes and see if not doing any squats makes a difference. I just need to figure out what has changed in the last couple of weeks to make my workouts so much harder. The Flomax is the biggest change. I have also noticed an increase in blurred vision, another side effect. It’s hell getting old.

I am back on track, feeling much better and hit the gym at 5AM this morning. Did my Turkish Get Up and Snatch workout. Came in at 52 minutes, a bit over my 50 minute goal. I checked my sheet and I got 42 minutes on the same workout last week. Perhaps I need to build up after my week long absence. I felt so good I did 45 minutes cardio.

Working hard to simply lose all I can by November 2. I will be meeting Mike at the Cleveland airport when he flys in from Michigan and we will be taking the same flight out to visit Rob in Conn. Mike and I are within 3 pounds of each other so we are going to see who ends up at the lowest weight.
Going to the gym tonight. It’s the first night for Dancing with the Stars so I will watch that while doing an extra cardio session.

This week continues to be a challenge.
It’ Friday morning and I am still ill with stomach distress and still in pain from the dental procedure on Wednesday morning.
I did go to the gym yesterday and did my Push Press and Functional Trainer squats but only made it for 3 of the 5 sets I should have done. The workout caused my mouth to start hurting and my stomach became more and more upset. I was increasingly dizzy following the squats. I pushed through 3 sets but, for the first time ever, backed down and did not complete my workout. I was able to do a session of 20 minutes moderate cardio.
Finally did get my laptop repaired Thursday afternoon. Took the tech all day to get it going again. That wll relieve some of my stress and hopefully help me feel better.
Friday morning I woke with headache, upset stomach and mouth pain. Did not make it to the gym. I don’t know if I am giving in and should have pushed more or if my body is simply saying “take a break”.
Eating has gone well this week due in large part to my upset stomach.
Perhaps I will perk up by tomorrow and will be able to get a couple of workouts in over the weekend.

Monday afternoon my work labtop simply stopped working. I started feeling sick to my stomach as I called technical support and started the process of getting it fixed. Little did I know that by the end of the evening I would be sick in bed.
I was not able to go to the gym Tuesday morning, the first time I have ever missed the gym do to illness. I had been able to sleep but I was so drained I simply could not make it. I though that if I felt better throughout the day I would get to the gym in the evening. Tuesday night I did make myself work on mowing the yard, but I had to stop. I did not go to the gym.
This morning I had a dentist appointment at 7AM. I thought about getting to the gym by 5, dentist by 7 and then rushing to work. When I woke up I still felt so bad so I skipped the gym. The dental appointment turned into 2 hours and 10 minutes in the chair and instead of one new crown, I am going to need two. Somehow decay had started under one of my crowns. In order to get to it the Dentist had to take out the crown next to it. This was on the last two teeth in the back, on top. Bottom line, it turned into a much bigger job than he planned. I had to have a lot of extra pain medication during the procedure. When I walked out of the office about 9:15 I was already whipped for the day.
Got to work, still without my laptop, having to use an old computer that did not have everything I needed on it, mouth hurting and stomach upset.
Damm, I sound like a little girl but I think this is a case of everything just hitting me at once.
I still need to work on the yard tonight. I don’t really feel like doing that, much less going to the gym to try to make up workouts. This has really screwed my workouts up. This has not happened since I started my workouts last October.
At least my eating has been ok. In fact, I have probably lost some weight because I have not been able to eat.

Feeling really good this morning. Had a good nights sleep. It looks like the Flomax is starting to kick in and I am getting more and more nights of only having to get up once during the night. That is a big improvement.
Had a dream about getting my body fat measured. Even though I am not dropping weight real quick I feel like my BF is dropping as a result of my workouts. I can get it checked at the gym for only 5 bucks, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in the folks that do the checking.
Really happy that I got this workout down to 42 minutes, even with the increase in the snatches. I had been getting worried because this seemed to be taking longer and longer. Felt really strong this morning. I am keeping the rest times down to 1 minute, rather than the 2:30. I am really pumping all through this workout. Did a good 20 minutes HIIT cardio following my circuits.

Gym will be closed next Thursday and Friday so I need to adjust schedule again this week. Will be taking Thursday and Friday as no workout days and working out on Saturday and Sunday.

Gym opened at 1 and I was there for my workout. Did what is usually my Friday workout. I felt stronger than I usually do, I assume because I had two resting days prior. I usually do this workout after four days of hard workouts.

Having some eating issues. I have been very hungry. Going dancing tonight so maybe I will burn a few off.
