Day 27 of 84

Body for Life Challenge

Feeling really good today. At the gym at 5AM for my Turkish Get Up workout. Was able to finish in 50 minutes. I see people come in, do their little workouts and leave, while I am still working on getting my Turkish Get Ups and Snatches done. I go extra early on Monday because just the circuit part of this routine takes me about 50 minutes. By the time I get done with my core work and cardio it’s about a 2 hour workout.

Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 2:30 minute rest between sets (Keep total time below 50 minutes)
Kettlebell Turkish Get-Up
8 kg – 10 each side
Kettlebell Snatch
24 kg – 13 each

Weight is a couple of pounds up, but I continue to feel smaller and tighter. My arms are to the point where they always feel big and pumped, quite a difference from the past.

Dave the trainer will be in town next Monday so I am hoping he will be able to stop at the gym and visit for a few minutes. I am so glad that I really am working as hard as I tell him I am. How stupid would I feel if I had been lying to him about what I was doing. I know he can see the results of the work I do. This will be a good motivator for the rest of the week.

Anxious to see how our first Gut to Cut Stickam chat goes this Friday night. My user name on Stickam is the same as youtube “trboh”. It will be the first time we have tried to organize an online chat. My hope is that it develops into a weekly type of deal. We need to use technology the best we can to share motivation and support.

Getting some good feedback on my attempt to really motivate MrNiceGuy28431. I would love to see him make some real progress and prove to himself that he can make things happen.

Spirits are up thinking about and planning for my trip to visit Shed4life, along with Mike, the first weekend in November. I think it is going to be great fun.

Debbie will be leaving Wednesday for her Myrtle Beach vacation with her sister and two friends. I will be on my own until she returns on the 14th.

Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 1:20 minute rest between sets
Dumbbell Push Press – 50 lb Dumbbells – 11 reps
Bulgarian Split Squat (rear foot up on bench)
32 kg – 8 reps each leg
Narrow Grip Lat Pulldowns ( machine # 16 )
160 lbs. – 12 reps

Wednesday
Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 1 minute rest between sets
1-Hand Kettlebell Swings
28 kg – 20 reps each
Kettlebell Figure 8’s
24 kg – 15 each

Thursday
Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 1 minute rest between sets
Kettlebell Lateral Lunge
28 kg – 15 reps each leg
Rope Biceps Curls
130 lbs. – 10 reps
Rope Triceps Pushdowns
130 lbs. – 10 reps

Friday
Circuit – Repeat for 5 total sets with 2:00 minute rest between sets
Kettlebell Clean, Squat, Press
20 kg – 11each
Assisted Neutral Grip Pullups
#15 – 9 reps
