Worked on double unders for our skill this morning. I have learned that when doing double unders I need to wear my regular gym shoes and socks. The smack of the rope against my ankles with just my fivefingers on is no good.
Very slow improvement with the double unders. I was getting to the point that I was doing 4 singles and then a double under and then it would all fall apart. It will get better with time.
I really was not into my workout this morning. My energy level was low. While I think Turkish Get Ups are a wonderful exercise and a valuable one for me to do that does not mean I enjoy doing them. It’s a long way down and a long way up and they use a lot of energy that I did not have this morning. Rather than let that bother me I turned today into an active rest workout. I kept moving but I was moving in my own little world, somewhat disconnected from the rest of the class. I can always tell when I am having one of those days because someone will say “Wow, you are not talking much today”, which tells me I must talk a lot on a normal day. And I thought I was such a quiet guy.

What hurts today?Left arm (bicep to forearm) still aching all the time and painful with certain movements. I have a “catch” in my left side that happened a lot on the TGU’s. Only hurts with certain movements.
Weight LossTomas indicated that is he going to start weighing in on Monday’s with me. Where is Ron?
SleepSignificant sleep event. In bed at 9:30PM, up at 12:30AM for P, did not wake back up until alarm at 5AM. I have not slept until the alarm went off for YEARS. Good times.

Of course, the real blessing is that you were able to wake up at 12:30
