At Crossfit for the 6AM class.

Eric, Kelly, Angie, Wanda, David and Tomas with Brian coaching.

It was a fun morning of working on skills and playing games.

We had a 10 minutes “Pick your skill” period this morning where people worked on a skill of their choosing. There was a big interest in kipping pull ups with the group this morning and 5 people were in the cage working on their kips. I decided to do some solo work with the kettlebells and did nice slow and steady snatch ladders with the 35, 45 and 55 pound kettlebells and I saw Eric working on his handstands.

Friday’s have become our “team” day where the WOD involves teamwork. In addition to working your body it also works your ability to work with others and come up with the best plan for the workout based upon everyone’s varying skill levels. Because we only had 7 people Brian finally decided to be on one of the teams to even us out. That worked out fine because we were all “veterans” with all the movements and it was fun to have him participate with us.

The final times were within 11 seconds.

Exciting news: Northeast Ohio Crossfit Challenge on June 6, 2009. The six crossfit affiliates in NE Ohio are having an all day challenge event. Looking forward to that.

What hurts today?—Left forearm still aching but I can tell it is getting better each day. Knees (especially right) is hurting when setting down for any period of time. I am starting to think that the jumping pull ups might be contributing to the knee issue. As I am getting more powerful I am pushing myself down harder and I think my knees are taking more of a jolt each time I come down. Even more reason for me to work harder on the kipping.

Eating—Still doing good. I am finding that I am not as hungry in the evenings. Last night I just had grapes and some cheese about 7PM and skipped my dinner.****RON WHERE ARE YOU?****

Fight Gone Bad 5
What is a baby boomer?
People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.
