What is a baby boomer?

People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.

Crossfit at 6AM.

Another big class. Tomas, Ron, David, Connor, Eric, Jason, Kelly and Gretchen with Brian coaching.

It was another TEAM Friday. This time we were in two teams. The movements seem simple but were brutal. I really thought my results were bad but when I compare to the rest of the team I was not as far off as I thought. Tomas and I were right on track with each other. Ron and Kelly pulled our team through to victory. There is no way I can compete at Burpees or anything that includes a squat, like the thrusters.

Another contributor to our victory was Ron’s chalk warpaint that the three guys wore. Kelly did not seem to hot on the idea. I can’t imagine why she would not want to write on her face with chalk at 6 AM. It seemed like a great idea to Ron, Tomas and me.

Eating—Everybody has to.

What hurts today?—Was very stiff this morning. Only big issue is the continuing left arm aching.

Found another shot of someone wearing fivefingers from CrossFit LA.
