CrossFit at 6AM. Miranda, Will, Steve, Dave and Eric with Brian coaching.
Eric mentioned to me that I did not not make a post yesterday and I said “sure I did”. Well, I did create the post I just failed to hit the publish button. Another indication of how exhausting this week has been.
Got home around 11PM last night, in bed by 12AM and up at 5AM. I am done with the late nights until next week when I will have a couple of more. I really had to drag myself to class this morning but as always, I am glad I went.
Will and I worked pull ups. My heart was not really in it but I can tell I am getting better. Can almost get the first two of each set. Hopefully I will get to catch up sleep tonight and do better in the morning. There is a free Saturday class in the morning.
We got to lift heavy things for the WOD this morning so I did pretty good.

I was really pleased with my performance this morning. I kept up with Will pretty good. I know Eric was having some shoulder issues and Steve was feeling the effects of yesterdays workout. I think my form on the hang cleans was good. Some of my push jerks were OK. I still tend to just muscle through the push and leave off the jerk part sometimes.
Eating—It was weigh in Friday and I have to admit I was disappointed when I saw 242.8. I have been stuck on 242 for three full weeks now. I know my waist is getting smaller and my arms are getting bigger and I am much stronger and have more endurance since I started the Paleo. I like eating Paleo, I am never hungry, never have heartburn or stomach aches. But, Paleo is not a “lose weight quick” type of diet, at least not for me. So I will just keep plugging away. The really sad part of the whole thing is that even when I do get down to 225 which I have kind of targeted as my “ideal” weight, I will not be happy so it’s better to just try to ignore what the scale says.
I was 100 percent successful with only eating what I brought with me for the 3 days I was working in Cleveland.
What hurts today—The usual left forearm and my heels. One thing I can say for sure is that I have not had any back issues for what seems to be a couple of months so that is a wonderful thing. No headaches.
Fight Gone Bad—Debbie was able to collect 20 dollars for me from her work friends so I think that brings me to $495.00. I will need to check my official donation page.
Fish Oil—I ordered and have received my bottle of Carlson Laboratories Lemon Flavor Fish Oil.
I order it on Amazon and the bottle actually came from the Vitamin Shoppe.
Fish Oil 16.9 oz $22.46
Tax 1.47
Shipping .99
Total $24.92
Only took a couple of days for delivery.
My research has led me to make sure I am getting enough Omega-3 Fatty Acids. I have tried Fish Oil Capsules in the past but to really get a significant dose of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) you would have to take handfulls at a time.
I think the oil in a bottle is going to be much easier to take. I am going to take 2 tablespoons twice a day and see what happens. That should give me approximately:
EPA 3,200 mg
DHA 2,000 mg
Other Omega-3 Fatty Acids 1,200 mg
The taste is ok (meaning I don’t gag as it goes down). It has a lemon flavor added. I did not notice any “fishy burbs” like I have in the past with capsules.
I will continue to do research on Omega-3 Fatty Acids as I add fish oil into my diet.
I must say I looked for your post yesterday and was a bit concerned when it was there. Happy to see all is ok and it was just an operator error
Glad the workout went well today, expecially with such little sleep. I am sure the weight will come off. Plateaus are a pain but you are doing everything right!
