When I started watching this I wondered why the other kids were going down into the bowl. Were they also going to be trapped? Then I figured out there was a reason the one kid could not get out.

Another reason to lose a pound.

  • Hahaha, thank you for sharing this. Doing some kind of exercise in that bowl seems very fun actually. I’m wondering where I can find an area like that.

All jokes aside, I’ve recently ran into a program named Escalating Density Training and I noticed that in one of your older posts you’ve had some experience with the program.

I’m wondering if the program has worked for you and if it’s worth the time?

    Thanks mate.

  • Tyler,

    Thanks for the comment.

That was back in mid 2007 that I was doing EDT. My coach at that time was really into EDT.

I liked it because I could see the documented improvement from EDT to EDT session. That gave me a lot of motivation.

Some of my CrossFit WOD mimic EDT in the sense of doing the same WOD for time or as many rounds as possible and seeing the improvement. For example, increasing your Fran time. I think the big difference is that in CrossFit we typically don’t do the same WOD as frequently as you might when doing EDT.

    Good luck with the EDT.

    Terry

What is a baby boomer?
People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.
