What is a baby boomer?

People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.

Weather is staying warm for November. Not frost on the windshield.

Will and I worked on GHD again. No damage from Saturday so I loosened up and did 3 sit ups going down to the floor. I was pleased with that.

My pain level was low this morning, just some discomfort in my right heal. Also, my hip mobility was better than usual. When I saw the 75 power snatches I felt that I would be able to do a good job. Lifting and pushing are usually my best movements and I was happy to set a new PR on this WOD.

Eric, Steve and I all had significant improvement on our numbers from August 14th. Steve was able to go as Rx’d which is a huge improvement.

Eating—Back on track. I can tell that letting my bad habits back in was causing me to feel bad, both physically and emotionally.

What hurts today—Still disappointed that my right heel is hurting but overall feeling good. My right elbow is actually starting to feel better. I am sure that will not last long since we plan to have the pull up rig in operation by the end of the week. Stress level is high as we deal with issues associated with Debbie’s sister. I think my morning WOD’s are important to keep me going strong.

We did get a call early this morning that they are putting Debbie’s sister on dialysis. This is a last ditch effort to keep her going. If this does not work I don’t know what other options there are. Bottom line, everyday since she went into the hospital 8 days ago her condition becomes more serious.
