What is a baby boomer?

People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.

During the week my wife never sees me leave the house around 5:20 AM for CrossFit. This morning she was around, getting ready for her day as I was getting ready for class. “How can you go workout when you can’t even move?”, was her question.

She had a good point. My hips are really stiff, my heel hurts again and I tore my back up a little bit yesterday. Truly an example of the walking wounded.

I have found that in the end if I go to class I will feel better for the rest of the day. Even though I could not perform well this morning just moving around helped loosen me up.

Often on Saturday morning the fire breathers come out and you can see by the results that many of the guys were on fire this morning. Notice that Ron even kept going to do a fifth round.

For my rowing I pulled the rower outside to the parking area so I could kind of feel like the rest of the group and capture a little bit of vitamin D. As I was rowing I noticed that directly in my line of vision was the sign for the nearby funeral home. I kept rowing as I thought about how being outside in the sun pulling on the rower was better than being in the funeral home. That helped keep me going.

Will came up with an idea for a picture op. You figure it out.
