This WOD was really a lot of fun. Brian did a great job on creating the teams. I am starting to understand more how people can predict winners of football and basketball games. It’s all about knowing the skill levels and capabilities of each player. I am not a betting man but I would have bet on the way the results came out this morning.

I am up to day 28 on the burpees.

The Lumberjack workout is tomorrow morning. I really don’t want to do it but unless I can find a way to break a leg or end up in the hospital by morning there is no way I cannot do it. I have faith that Brian will have an appropriate scaled version. There is no way I can do all that running or use the Rx’d weights. As a reminder, here is the unscaled version of the workout.

“Lumberjack 20″

20 Deadlifts (275lbs) /Run 400m

20 KB swings (2pood) /Run 400m

20 Overhead Squats (115lbs) /Run 400m

20 Burpees /Run 400m

20 Pullups (Chest to Bar) /Run 400m

20 Box jumps (24″) /Run 400m

20 DB Squat Cleans (45lbs each) /Run 400m

I know there will be men and women at the box tomorrow that will be able to do this as Rx’d.

Tomas was back after about 3 weeks away so it was great to see him suffer. The main reason I never miss a day is because I don’t ever want to go through the pain of starting over again. But that does not diminish my enjoyment in seeing others suffer.

Eating—Considering lap band at this point

What hurts today—Once I can get through the pain of getting things going in the morning it is not too bad. My heels have actually improved a bit. I still wish I felt the way I did that one day about a month ago. Nothing hurt, nothing ached, I felt strong. Those days are far between.

One Year Ago–It was just Tom and I last year vs. 14 people today. (Jerry was coaching but joined Tom and I in the WOD.)

WOD
