Smaller class than usual this morning. Steve is traveling and several class members are doing preparation for or taking exams so they have adjusted their schedules.

I completed my 31 burpees for 100 days of burpees prior to class. I use that as my warm up for the warm up.

Today was another struggle with the WOD. The burpees really slowed me down. I usually don’t like to drop the bar after each clean but I was dropping like crazy this morning.

Tonight I have my first Tuesday night self defense class for 1 1/2 hours.

Eating—No comment

What hurts today—Last two days have been really bad for my right hip. Anxious to see if I can move in the morning.

One Year Ago One year ago it was just Eric, Tom and myself.

I just found out tonight why I work out with Brian Yoak at crossfit Legacy.  I went to the ymca tonight and realized that I was just another person.  You don’t have the support of a dozen other athletes working toward a common goal.  Looking about a year ago its amazing how far I have came.  I am not and may never be the fittest person at crossfit legacy, but that does not matter to me.  Over the last year I have realized being healthy is a life change.  It is going to take a lot of hard work and good choices in dieting, But I know I can do it.  I used to be intimidated by what other athletes can do, but not anymore.

Terry Thanks for always pushing me through my workouts. And giving me heck for not making it or coming in 5min. late every class.

  2. Chris Crawford says:

Nice to see your comment Tom. I remember when you were intimidated with me doing pullups or whatever. We all start at a different place. It is always great to be at the gym and get pushed along by each other. We all want to see you be more healthy – and we all want to get more healthy together. It’s great to have you at the gym.

    you too Terry!
