Got my 38 burpees done prior to class starting.
Not a fan of today’s warm up and WOD. Talk about working on your weaknesses. High box steps are causing an issue with both my hip and heels when coming down from the box. The only thing I can do on mornings like this is to just keep going until it is over. I think I screwed up the Knees to Elbow by only doing 10 each rather than 15.
Self defense class last night. Went well. Reminds me of dancing. During a competition you need to be aware of you and your partners surroundings, see what everyone in your area is doing, anticipate what they might do next and then react quickly to what they actually do to avoid collision. Similar to avoiding a punch in the face.
Eating—3 days on track.
What hurts today—Morning CrossFit was really hard. TGU’s were killers and even box steps were causing problems. Still looking back on that one day a couple of months ago when nothing hurt at all. That was a wonderful day. Maybe that will happen again sometime.
One Year Ago—Brian was out of town today so Jerry took us through a review of Kettlebell Swings as our skill and “Drinking Age” as the WOD. Angie, Kelly, Eric with Jerry coaching.
The two new rowers from CrossFit arrived. Brian set them up and Jerry and I tried them out on Saturday morning.

As an affiliate owner, I have the distinct honor of training people in Crossfit everyday. It is fun, challenging, rewarding, taxing, and fun.
For those people who have been Crossfitting a while, these athletes begin to understand what their bodies are capable of. They can tolerate heavy loads, deal with burning lungs, and even recover uninjured from the occasional bad lift or poor form.
This week I have had to scale back some loads for folks because of bad form with heavier loads. I could tell they were unhappy about it, ……more
