CrossFit at 6AM. Staying dry.

Will and I tried to work on pull ups prior to class but did not get very far. We were not moving that good this morning.

I wore my weight vest and really struggled through the warm up. Pull Ups, Burpees and Wall Climbs are just about my three hardest moves, especially with the vest.

I was happy with the results of the WOD. I completed all the push presses with 95 lbs and the weight vest. I subbed 50 jumping jacks for the double unders. I do the jumping jacks rather than regular jump ropes just to have the jumping coming from a different angle. Rather than straight up and down I am going side to side. I did all those box jumps yesterday so jumping jacks today helps spread out the wear and tear.

The weight vest really pulls on my shoulders and just creates a constant pain and pulling in my shoulders. I guess this is a good thing.

Below is another entry in to the “Burpees on the Minute” challenge. FusionDude got 12 minutes which I think is fantastic.

Here is another youTuber with their “Tabata Squats”

Yesterday morning, after and hour and 35 minutes of work I tried a simple overhead squat with a bar. Not too impressive unless you have ever seen me try this before and totally fail. For me this was a major accomplishment.

Fight Gone Bad 5
What is a baby boomer?
People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.
