CrossFit at 6AM. Staying dry and warmer.

Will and I worked the bench press this morning. Will got his 295 and tried for 305 but that is going to happen another day. I am still playing around with 135 to 155 lbs but that is 135 pounds more than I ever did before. My arms were really sore from yesterdays WOD.

I guess the whole idea of “Fun Friday” got lost somewhere along the line. Now it is just a matter of taking whatever we did on Thursday and make it suck more on Friday. Maybe it is just my weight vest talking.

I did have to loosen it up a bit this morning during the WOD. It was on so tight that I could hardly breathe.

This WOD was not one of my favorites. I made it through the SDLHP but as usual my Thrusters became just a push press. Although I proved yesterday that I can get down into a squat, using any weight and moving fast is not yet something I can do.

There is a free Saturday class tomorrow at 9AM. Those training for the regionals and other hard core folks are doing “Eva” later in the morning. It looks like a lot of fun to me. Too bad I will be doing a video on it so I can’t participate myself.

* Run 800 meters
* 2 pood (70 pound) KB swing, 30 reps
* 30 pullups

5 rounds for time.

Crossfit at 6AM.

Another big class. Tomas, Ron, David, Connor, Eric, Jason, Kelly and Gretchen with Brian coaching.

It was another TEAM Friday. This time we were in two teams. The movements seem simple but were brutal. I really thought my results were bad but when I compare to the rest of the team I was not as far off as I thought. Tomas and I were right on track with each other. Ron and Kelly pulled our team through to victory. There is no way I can compete at Burpees or anything that includes a squat, like the thrusters.

Here is another entry into the “Planks for Time” Challenge. It’s worth watching the first few minutes just for the dog and the music!
