Whiteboard 4-27-2010

CrossFit at 6AM. Rain is gone, back to dry weather.

Will and I worked on Thrusters prior to class. I am not a fan of thrusters.

Put my weight vest on for the warm up. Got real sick to my stomach for a few minutes during the warm up. Not sure what was going on. I was in a lot of pain an sometimes that sets my stomach off. But, the feeling went away.

I was happy with my rowing results. I always have the same results which are the exact opposite of everyone else. My times get better on each round. In most cases everyone else sees their times go up.

On the first round my hips were hurting so much that I just had to keep pulling and hoping that I would finally get the 500 meters. I had to force myself to stand up and move after the row. On the second row things finally started to loosen up close to the end and I will able to get some strong pulls in. For the third and fourth row I was feeling much better and the pain was not such an issue.

Once we were done Will thought it would be a great idea for me to get a sub 1:50 without the weight vest. I agreed as long as he did it with me. I got 1:50.2 and Will got 1:35.1. Those were our best times out of the 5 attempts. Dumping the weight vest makes a big difference.

Fight Gone Bad 5
What is a baby boomer?
People born between (and including) 1946 and 1964. After American soldiers returned home from World War II in1946, the United States experienced an explosion of births (hence the name baby boom) that continued for the next 18 years, when the birth rate began to drop. In 1964, baby boomers represented 40% of the population, which means that more than one third of the population was under 19 years of age. In the 1990s, approximately 76 million people in the United States were born in the baby boom years, representing approximately 29% of the country's population. Since baby boomers make up such a sizable portion of the consuming public, their spending habits and lifestyles have a powerful influence on the economy.
